Whisper-Talkers Tourney Day 6: BTVS’s Angel vs Secret Circle’s Adam

Almost a week has gone by since we first began our extremely not ridiculous Whisper-Talkers tournament. At this point in the competition, half of our first rounds have finished. In the winners’ circle we got Chuck Bass who won against Emily Thorne with 80% of the votes. He will go into the quarterfinals against Bob’s Burgers Tina, who won against Marge Simpson with 59% of the votes. Our other quarterfinal competitors will be Chuck’s Casey (who won against 30 Rock’s Jack Donaghy with 58% of the votes) and John Reese from Person of Interest (who completely slaughtered 24′s Jack Bauer with 97% of the votes, a total of 1,210 — those people are passionate!). They’ll be facing off later on in the week, once we get through the right side of our bracket (or as I like to call it, the supernatural side…sans Brooke Davis). Speaking of, let’s get started!

This first round for the right side of the bracket has two star-crossed lovers who just couldn’t be with their leading ladies…and who were even tempted with their dark sides. One’s iconic; another one just got one season. But you know, STILL. In this corner: we have Angel from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel who speaks so softly I sometimes have to higher the volume on my television. And in that corner: we have one-season-wonder The Secret Circle‘s Adam Conant, who uses the stress-whisper technique to stress just about everything that he’s ever said.

But which whisper-talker (regardless of technique) do you love more? It’s time to decide. Vote below!

You can vote as many times as you’d like. This poll closes Tuesday at noon ET. Remember to come back tomorrow to vote between Vampire Diaries‘s Klaus and True Blood’s Eric.

Have to go with Angel, the original stalker-sneaks-up-on-people-speaks-like-the-wind guy.

While in his defense DB did grow out of his tendencies to whisper instead of talking. no one can beat his socially-awkward-angel-whisper-years yet.

Yeah I commented that I think DB didn’t even whisper in Angel the show, sure as hell doesn’t whisper as Booth. But he is the man to probably blame for the whisper talk and them hot wifebeaters.
