Well, like I said on Sunday, we’re faced with a not so surprising nomination block this week. Helen was nominated alongside Elissa because Aaryn can’t stand Elissa for reasons no one understands currently.
I mean, I’m pretty sure it’s because Elissa is Rachel’s sister but never told anyone, but would you tell anyone that if you were Rachel’s sister? No. That would just get you a huge target on your back. Then, Elissa confessed, anyway. So now my guess is that Aaryn wants Elissa out because she stayed and David left, but … how’s about the people who double-crossed you? Elissa wasn’t even allowed to vote. Was she supposed to just lie down and take an eviction? Someone is a snake in your cone of gossip, and perhaps that person should be the target.
But alas, it’s as if everyone in the house is operating with blinders on.
The Big Brother MVP
For the second week in a row, Elissa has obtained the ever-sought-out BBMVP power. Either Rachel’s got serious fans, or Elissa is building her own fanbase. It’s not surprising that plenty of audience members would want to help Elissa out against Jeremy — who has been getting some serious villain edits.
And just the same, it’s not surprising that Elissa would use it to nominate Jeremy, either. She and Helen discuss that perhaps it would be wise to put up someone else and backdoor Jeremy, but that moves makes less sense given that they would have to keep themselves on the block and hope that the house turns on Jeremy.
It’s such a difficult decision since it appears the house won’t be flip-flopping this early in the competition, but Elissa musters up some hope and puts Jeremy on the block. Aaryn, Kaitlyn and GinaMarie snicker about it like high schoolers.
Power of Veto
When it comes time to the veto competition, everyone is kind of on edge. Both Helen and Elissa know that if they play their cards right, they could possibly both survive this week. The only problem is that they nominated Jeremy, which gives him a right to play, and he’s a strong competitor. Then, Nick’s name is picked out of the bag, which gives them even more reason to worry.
Elissa tries to strike up the most lopsided pre-veto deal ever. If Nick throws the competition, she won’t nominate him for two weeks. But the problem is: How will she even know he just sucked at the competition? Nick was totally right; this deal was only going to favor him. If Nick won, he could decide to just not use the veto or to use it anyway, and he’d be untouchable.
As the game begins, Britney comes on the house screen to tell everyone she is expecting what will hopefully be an awesome, wise-cracking child, and that she needs help setting up a baby mobile (which everyone pronounced “moh-buhl” and I was very thrown by that). The POV competition is basically having to balance a lot of stuffed animals on an oversized mobile.
And guys, it’s like, super hard. Ugh. “I don’t get balancing stuff,” says everyone. Amanda almost gets it but her animals are touching the ground. “Wait, is that really the ground? I see space!!!!” Ugh, these people.
Even Elissa — who is a yoga instructor — is having supreme difficulty. Well, the attempt was futile, because after some time (and everyone failing again and again), Jeremy figures it all out and wins the coveted power of veto. It looks like Elissa and Helen are in trouble.
Reneged Deals
After the competition, Candice has the good sense to tell Elissa that she believes there’s a huge alliance between all of the guys in the house, and she especially thinks Nick and Jeremy are working together. Elissa now thinks it might be a better idea to nominate Nick rather than Kaitlyn, who was her plan B.
But she doesn’t want to go against her word. However, Elissa, if you nominate Nick and he leaves: then who cares that you went against your word? And if you nominate Nick and you leave: who cares that you went against your word? It’s looking like a pretty easy choice.
However, it may not be the best one. Jeremy goes around the entire house basically telling his Moving Company buddies that they better not vote Kaitlyn out because he will have to go after them hard. If Elissa could have waited just a few days more, there might have already been a divide in the super-alliance.
But she can’t. So Elissa does the only obvious thing to do and nominates Nick once Jeremy takes himself off the block. The future is looking bleak for Elissa, however, as the Moving Company will surely vote to evict her, as will Kaitlyn. She might be able to get votes from Candice and Andy, however. Her only hope is if she can illuminate Judd, Amanda and Kaitlyn on the boys’ alliance. Otherwise, looking pretty solid for Helen and Nick.
In Other News
Elsewhere, GinaMarie really wants to get it on with Nick, but Nick just isn’t interested in either her or Jessie so please stop trying to jump his bones. And Howard wants everyone to know that he will pray for them. Also, someone made a supercut of all the bigotry in the house so far; watch below.
