Can we talk about television’s best new show? I remember reading and loving Archie comics when I was in elementary school. They were kind of my life. And then when Archie One was published, I was all over that. (Still am.)

So when The CW announced that it was doing a dark teen soap opera using the Archie characters, I was like: Yes. There could not be a more CW thing to do than this—and I am here for it.

The pilot episode of Riverdale makes about zero sense. I mean, I wasn’t confused after watching it, but everything everyone does makes no sense. There was a lot to set up.

Like, Archie has a lot of feelings, but everyone wants him to play football. Oh, and some guy died. It’s very intense. After watching it, I knew I had to recap it.
