Chace Crawford — or someone who has access to files he recorded on his phone — registered on Twitter last week for all but two hours before his account was suspended. But not before he could release the following clip. It’s a scene from, presumably, the 100th episode of Gossip Girl (or the thirteenth episode of this current season) which features Serena playing Marilyn Monroe to Blair’s Audrey Hepburn. Luckily for us, his suspension didn’t delete the video, much to the show’s producers’ woe most likely.
Here it is:

We can only assume that this is the first of Serena’s nightmares, mirroring Blair’s countless others. Her insecurities of not being Dan’s first (or at all) choice highlights nothing about what this means for one-half of the central triangle, but here are a few things we learned from the video anyway.
Louis may very well be the best Gossip Girl character ever — when it comes to reviewing and recapping the episodes. Elsewhere, he’s a bit misunderstood. And I don’t mean that in any metaphorical sense; I literally mean sometimes I cannot understand him. Like, what he’s saying. (Okay, I think you get it.)
So it’s no surprise that he’s relegated to being backup, behind the core main guy characters of the group, shuffling around. At least the only two guys that have slept with her in the dance sequence escort her downstairs [insert sexual joke here]. But Louis does nothing more than stare with his “hmph!” face… just the way it should be.
That said, his “hmph!” face still make me wonder if all he’s thinking is “hmph!” the entire time. But I can’t read it. I guess we’ll never know, much like his actual dialogue. At least he offers Serena diamonds. Diamond giving seems to be his specialty.
A message to Penn Badgley from all the fangirls whom I follow on Twitter: if the movie’s over, cut the hair! At least I get half of that message on an almost-daily basis. And it seems that’s going to be a popular message going into late January, when this episode will air.
The hair department on Gossip Girl may think that slicking Dan’s hair back would make it a nonissue, and I’ll concede that they’re not wrong… except for when we get a view of his profile. Speaking as a guy who takes too long to cut his curly hair, that little entangled mess of curls at the end is only good for two things. (1) Keeping your neck warm and (2) getting people to tell you to cut your hair already.
In the Gossip Girl fandom, it’s also good for a third thing: getting people to call you a muppet. One day we’ll find it… the razor connection…

I have no idea what a “panther-like walk” is, especially when it comes to people. I’m going to assume Caroline Lagerfelt (who plays CeCe Rhodes) meant that swaying from left to right that Chuck does whenever he walks. I always just assumed he had a loss of balance seeing as he’s always drinking, but whatever.
She’s not entirely wrong. I didn’t know Chuck could move more than walking-pace. I think I remember him playing basketball in season one and then I remembered laughing as I did just now remembering it. But Blair Waldorf said it herself, “It’s not like you do anything athletic.” I’m not judging. I wouldn’t be caught dead doing something athletic, mostly because of sheer embarrassment.
But here Chuck is (albeit, Dream Him), dancing and shuffling and moving on rhythm. Dancing’s athletic, right?
After recapping episode 1.07 “Victor, Victrola” I never knew how — ahem — passionate Serena was about sleeping with Dan. Ever since the latest episode, 5.10 “Riding In Town Cars With Boys,” aired we’ve seen her spark up interest in Dan yet again (after a year of never choosing between him and Nate and then fooling around with not one but two teachers… oh, okay) but it appears it wasn’t just a momentary relapse.
Derena is back on. Or at least one-sided, according to this (presumably) dream sequence. So I think the newly formed Love Pentagon goes like this: Serena —> Dan —> Blair <—> Chuck | Louis?
I don’t know. But judging by Serena’s face by the end of the dance sequence, it appears she truly wants Dan’s … not Nate’s, not Louis’, not Chuck’s, not any of the random backup dancers’, only Dan’s.
Gossip Girl writing pitch:
“You know who can sing on this show? Leighton, Penn, and Ed!”
“I know, how awesome!?”
“Really awesome. Now let’s get Blake to do a singing number.”
“Lip-synced though.”
No, I was there for that. I can attest that happened. Okay, I’m lying, but I’m pretty sure it might have.
Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, and Ed Westwick can sing (I’m not sure about the others, but even so… they have yet to be given the opportunity; at least Taylor Momsen did two seconds of one note in a chorus) but the use of their vocals in the first dancing number on Gossip Girl is a big, fat zero. At least we can always count on Leighton’s feature in “Good Girls Go Bad” to be used as the musical score in one episode two years ago!
But regardless of the aforementioned things we learned (and one bonus: Blake’s face is hilarious) mostly we learned that we cannot wait for this episode to air already!

Blair was Audrey Hepburn from Breakfast at Tiffany's, haha! But yet, poor Serena. :( She just wants Dan's dick, but Dan's dick always wants to go to all the places Chuck has gone before, so it's a problem.
Updated. xD
LMFAO ALL the places it's gone before? That seems like a suicide mission.
EWWWW wouldnt that include Jenny then? ROTFL
LMFAO!!! YES!!! IT WOULD! That would be TOO OH EM GEE shocking for Gossip Girl!
Chuck played squash against Marcus in 2.02 and won.
HAHAHAHA!!! YUS YOU'RE SO RIGHT!!!! :') Good times
Ok, I have no idea what you tried to say about Louis, so I'll just ignore it.
Yes, Penn need to cut his hair. Ok, people, get over it. Jokes about his hair is not even funny anymore.
Ed also can sing. At least he had a band few years ago.
And all Leighton's pop sing was used in Gossip Girl (Somebody To Love, GGGB and Your Love's a Drug).
But a musical number with Leighton or Penn would be at least a must see.
Ed's band's played in Season 1 episode 12. Leighton also sang on the show, albeit drunk, and the video was shown in Season 4 episode 7.
But will she ever get a dancing number? :'( That's what I want to know!!
I personally don't consider drunk Blair singing Stand By Your Man as singing, tbh
1. I am completely with you about the Chuck moving quickly thing. In Season 4 when he RAN up the stairs after Eva, it was the funniest/most disturbing thing. Chuck Bass should never.
2. I'm still pulling for a musical episode. I mean, the show has already jumped the shark anyway...
I'm going to need to rewatch JUST that scene!!!
Blake was awesome, IMO. And I'm not even a fan (of either Blake or Serena).
Just stick with subbing Prince Mumbling, please.
I never said she wasn't awesome.
You always hit the right points! This cracked me up as usual. Can't wait for the 100th episode!!!
I'm so exited for this episode! And also lucky, that you comment this scene :D
And the Penn's Hair- thing is so weird, I mean, everybody's making fun of it, even the characters in the series and he doesn't give a fuck about it?! Doesn't he consider his style at all? Anyway...
Even more funny to me than Ed's 'dancing' was the way, he was acting, I mean, every guy's facial expression was so serious, only he seemed like joking around all the time.
You're right, he seemed "IN" on the joke. Hahaha!!!
And Penn needed to have his hair long for a film he was shooting. I'm pretty sure it wrapped recently.
Since they made Dan's hair a plot point on the show, he won't cut it until Blair insists he does when they finally get together, maybe Blair will cut it lol. I have grown to like it, well, tolerate it anyway.
Yes to all and especially #1. Musical. Dan and Chuck fight for Blair with song. Think of it as in a court room (kinda like Chicago). Each presents their case. Shippers are the media and they are NOT allowed. Judge: Blair. Jury: the rest of the show's cast(?) or maybe critics who actually watch the show (waaaay better jury) etc... Yay or nay? Fun or a recipe for disaster?
I don't know what it is but I WANT IT TO HAPPEN!!!!!!
Nothing athletic? Does anyone remember squash with the Lord at the beginning of season 2?
