Well, that’s not fair; it hasn’t been cancelled officially, ABC has just decided to pull the sitcom off its Tuesday 8:30pm slot (post Last Man Standing) after just two episodes. But in the television world, after just a couple of episodes, that’s as good (or bad) as cancelled. The sitcom debuted to 6.144 million viewers and a 2.0 in the demo; the second episode dipped to 4.19 million viewers and a 1.5 in the demo.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, repeats of Tim Allen’s Last Man Standing will air in the 8:30pm slot for now, but Cougar Town creator Bill Lawrence feels “good” the show will return soon.
Hopefully we will hear after Holiday weekend (on Tuesday) when we come back on…I feel good about it…

I hope so too.
Recently, the CT creators expressed that they don’t believe in retention, but would you watch Cougar Town at 8:30pm after Last Man Standing?
