She Said: The Vampire Diaries 3.15 ‘All My Children’ review: You Can’t Kill Klaus

I only started watching The Vampire Diaries this season. I watched a few clips on YouTube and was completely hooked, so I decided to catch up on the show and I did so through the hiatus. And I gotta say, I’m in love. And that’s probably why I’m writing about it today.

Last night’s episode wasn’t one of the most triumphant of the season, but it wasn’t one of the worst either. Why? Because The Originals didn’t die (But Elijah did leave, sniff sniff). That was the one silver-lining in the episode. C’mon, Esther, did you really expect Klaus to die?

But the one thing that pissed me off while watching the episode was Elena’s reaction to Damon’s “indiscretion.” You told the guy to fuck off. You told him that his love for you was a burden. You really don’t get to be mad at him for sleeping with Rebekah. Look, I get that Rebekah tried to kill Elena, but you know, Elena did stab her in the back.

So basically: Rebekah held Elena hostage while tormenting her to get revenge, but Elena outsmarted her and hid in the only place Rebekah can’t go to. (Nice move, Elena!) Alaric tried to dagger Kol so that so the whole family would die, but guess what? Klaus didn’t. PEOPLE, STOP TRYING TO KILL THE GUY. He’s NOT gonna die. And as for Esther’s plan, Damon kinda killed it.

Once again, Damon saved Elena’s life by doing the worst thing ever: turning her best friend’s mother into a vampire. (By the way! Does that mean Bonnie and her mom will FINALLY get an interesting storyline? Please say yes! Please say yes!) I loved that Damon saved Elena’s life again. LOVED IT. But I really don’t want him to be the bad guy again. That’s so season 1.

Also, MEREDITH! Torrey freakin’ DeVito! I LOVE HER! Loved her on One Tree Hill when she was the psycho Nannie Carrie and now I love her as Meredith. But she stabbed Alaric. And she’s not a supernatural creature is she? Does that mean Alaric’s dead? I mean, the ring can’t save him now. (Side note: I hope this serial-killer storyline keeps living up to expectations because so far, it’s brilliant.)

Shipping note: Klaus & Caroline. I know some people think it’s gross (Yes, Michael, I’m looking at you.) But hell, we shipped Damon with Elena while he was killing all those people. We shipped Stefan with Elena while he was still a ripper. There’s nothing not “technically” gross about the couples on this show, but we still ship them – always and forever. (Awwe, this is making think of Elijah’s letter to Elena! How sweet was that?)

  • Yay to Klaus & Caroline! I really like the depth this gives to Klaus...one second he's so adorable with his humanity showing around Caroline. And then he turns back to Old Klaus and tells Esther " I will send you back to hell again". I thought It was super awesome when all the Originals were affected by the dagger and Klaus didnt get hurt at all, LOL!
I also like Meredith I think she's really pretty and she was my fav character in the book series! I still dont think she's the serial killer...but we cant find out until March 15 AHH!!! They have to stop killing Alaric though!! How many times did he die in just a few weeks???

p.s. just wanted to point out that its KOL and not Cole...sorry i love him so i really wanted to correct this!

    • Me too i agree with what you said. This show is so awesome you never know what to expect. I honestly hope they don't kill the Originals they are so darn great. I would be seriously pissed off if they do. They are all awesome but my personal favourite one is Kol like you said. Man he made me laugh so hard love him. #Team Originals!
