Gossip Girl rumor: Will someone ELSE die during the season finale?

They killed off Blair and Louis’ unborn baby. They killed off family matriarch CeCe Rhodes. But is a third death in the works over at Gossip Girl?

According to an alleged extra on IMDb decemberunderground, today’s filming activities include a hospital emergency room scene in which most of the cast was anxiously waiting for news. More so, it seems the events ended in someone’s death, but it’s not clear.

It was in a hospital emergency room and supposed to be at night. I was in the crowd that backed away when the “EMTs” came through the door with a gurney with no one in it. They didn’t film this bit so it was clearly for staging. The EMTs were stand-ins and out of costume. They rushed through and they started filming afterward. Blake hugged Kelly, and Penn, Chace and Leighton huddled together over near them. Desmond arrived a little later and talked to Leighton and Chace about something. They did separate scenes with Blake talking to Kelly and Matthew, Penn and his gang talking amongst themselves, and then all of the characters sitting and talking together. Desmond talks about something someone’s mother did, and Leighton’s character says she blames herself for something. Penn says it’s not her fault. Later they did some short time-elapsing scenes (Desmond pacing, Leighton falling asleep on Penn’s shoulder, Chace with his head in his hands, etc.) After that there was some filming done in a hospital room but they didn’t need any crowds for that, and then cleared everyone out for some other waiting room stuff. Busy day.

I don’t know who was supposed to be injured, but some of the other extras were claiming they overheard it resulted in a death. Apparently the closed set scenes had to do with the characters receiving the news and a couple of them breaking down.

It was one of the first things filmed for 524. These shows rarely run for 25 a season anymore so I’d assume [it’s the season finale].

The actors were all dressed very nice. Tuxedos and glamorous dresses. They all looked very 60’s and it seemed like they were supposed to have all come from the same event.

It seemed almost as though the writers had gone above and beyond to keep the identity of the injured from us. They were never referred as “he/she” or by name, and the dialogue seemed spotty. We were under the impression that they were filming as much as they could and were probably going to go back and fill in the rest with a closed set.

The medical babble seemed to imply that the injured had several broken bones and was found outside a hotel. I didn’t catch it all but it sounded brutal.

That’s about all I know.

On Location Vacations reported that Gossip Girl was set to film in the Silvercup studios and at an outside location near the studios today. The alleged extra has not responded to questions of if it were at a set or not, but it appears, judging by his statements, it was filmed in a studio set — which would synch up with the OLV report.

Do you believe the supposed spoiler(s)? And if so, who do you think might be receiving the ultimate eternal reward from Gossip Girl?

  • I swear if they have Chuck or anyone else die, I will not watch S6. Just kill off everyone while you're at it.

  • I think its time Chuck stopped playing hard to get with ol Death, he teases Death every season and I frankly am tired of seeing this will they won't they. I need my payoff! =D

  • They should kill someone off on Gossip Girl, tbh. But I don't believe the supposed extra because I don't think there have been any casting calls for doctors/nurses/hospital background since 5x18, and we know that is for Dorota giving birth.

    • as if ahaha. Dan is the most reliable character on the show and the writers knows that. Plus, he's with the rest of the cast, and there's mentions of Dan talking with Blair and saying that it ''is not her fault''. If someone is dying, it's Chuck. Plus, he's had nearly death experience since season 2. So my guess is that if they would kill off one of the main characters, it would have to be him.

      • Reliable?! Excuse me as I snort. IF ( a big IF) it's true, then people didn't catch the possible forshadowing when Chuck said it's fells like he's dead sometimes. They have played this mess with Chuck several times before. Not likely.

  • Yeah, right, everyone and their mom is there, including Jack, but Chuck isn't and they're still trying to keep this apparent death a secret? Riiiiight. Sure, kill him off now, when it makes absolutely no sense. If Safran wanted to kill him so badly, he should've done it back in season 3, at least then it would have been more of a shock/twist/whatever, and it would have been some sort of a consiquence for his actions. But lately, Chuck has been a pretty decent guy, he's been trying to redeem himself, that's what's funny. Right now, it just comes off as desperate, so they can create more useless drama and clear the way for Dair. Oh, and if he does die, I hope it will at least be 'death by scarf', like Nate said in season 1. Or they should bury him with the damn thing, I think it would only be right.
Gossip Girl logic: Chuck's trying to be a good guy and let his girl be happy? KILL HIM OFF.                            Fans pissed over Dair, because they like Blair + Chuck? KILL HIM OFF.                            Safran hates Chuck? TRY TO KILL HIM OFF A GAZZILION TIMES AND FINALLY SUCCEED.

    Oh, Gossip Girl.

  • Oh, and I saw a call sheet for 5x24 and it said that Chuck and Blair share the final scene of the episode? On the roof of the Empire, I believe? How does that fit in?

  • from what I've read it sounds like maybe chuck jumps off the empire building commiting suicide (He almost did that in season 2)  which is why he has all the broken bones and his body was found outside a hotel. which would also explain why Blair thinks it's her fault. also @dee. Maybe it's one of those episodes where it's not in chronological order and we find out what happened to Chuck and Blair on top of the hotel at the end of the episode or it's Chuck's ghost.

  • Correction: If they kill off Chuck (the only character people enjoy watching) they will lose so many viewers its not even funny.
