Hart of Dixie review: Bachelorettes & Bullets

Normally I consider Hart of Dixie to be my saccharin sweet palate cleanser that I use to relax after all of the horrid crap that I watch. (I’m looking at you Gossip Girl!) But tonight’s episode was more of a bummer than I expected.

Sure we knew Lavon and Lemon’s secret had to be revealed and George certainly had every right to know. But what I wasn’t expecting was for Wade to flip out and be so nasty to Zoe.

His whole speech about her being shallow because she only goes for certain guys was just ridiculous and here’s why: Zoe may be into George, Judson, etc, but she has been crushing on Wade since that first sweltering night in Bluebell.

Wade has had chance after chance to admit his feelings to Zoe. Even Lavon was pushing him to be honest about it. But no, Wade is stubborn. I understand his reasons for being angry with his brother, but with Zoe? Nope. Total copout.

Sadly Wade isn’t the only person peeved by Zoe. George is obviously a wreck after he found out about Lemon and Lavon. Then he felt even worse when he realized that Zoe had lied to him. Honestly, it sucks to know that kind of secret. Yes George deserved to know, but it wasn’t Zoe’s place to tell him. It was Lemon’s or Lavon’s.

By the look of next week’s previews, it doesn’t seem like George can stay mad at Zoe. And how could he? She’s so damn cute! She’s got to chill with the New York clichés though. It’s not any easier to mind your own business and hold in a secret just because you live in a big city. And people rarely have conversations and learn your life story on the subway. Mostly we all ignore each other and listen to our earbuds. Enjoy that Southern Hospitality while you can Dr. Hart!
