90210 Casting Updates: Who’s in and who’s out for Season 5?

Gillian Zinser, who plays hippie surfer chick Ivy, will not be returning as a series regular this fall. She was last seen running to Mexico to be with illegal immigrant boyfriend Diego (guest star Yani Gellman). The producers have released a statement guaranteeing that Gillian will appear as a guest star, however the number of episodes she will appear in remains a mystery. Who’s sad? No one. Okay. Let’s move on.

Based on the season finale, it has been speculated that Justin Deeley who plays suave cowboy Austin will be promoted to a series regular. Also options on the table for promotion: Arielle Kebbel who plays professional manipulator Vanessa, and Josh Zuckerman who plays Naomi’s nerd ball boyfriend Max.

Trevor Donovan, who plays everyone’s favorite set of abs Teddy, also may come back as a series regular next season, while Tristan Wilds may not. Teddy was last seen with Silver discussing the possibilities of having a baby together, and Dixon was last seen in a nearly fatal car accident, which he may not have lived through.

Michael Steger who plays Navid has a yet-to-be-determined future on the show as well.

As it stands right now, you should definitely count on seeing Shenae Grimes (Annie), Annalynne McCord (Naomi), Matt Lanter (Liam), Jessica Stroup (Silver), and Jessica Lowndes (Adrianna) next season as regulars. Or so it seems.
