• The only reason I think Caroline might have tried to get into her car is b/c she had her cellphone in there. And she wanted to tell the gang that Alaric was still alive. But she could have still just run to Elena's place . . .

  And why didn't Alaric steal Caroline's daylight ring?

  Elena was stupid b/c she went to the school by herself. She could have brought back-up.

  I agree that it isn't that Elena's "badass" moments involve self-harm. She's had better moments in season one which involved her kicking somebody else's ass. I don't congratulate self-harm. And considering almost all supernatural beings are tied to Elena it's not a big leap of logic to determine that Alaric is somehow tied to her. Almost everyone is tied to her in some way. It's predictable.

• Actually, Caroline was using her phone in the beginning of the episode to talk to Tyler. And she HAS had some pretty badass moments not including self-harm, like staking Rebekah or stabbing Stefan with a syringe or shooting Sage with a crossbow. Love that crossbow one.

• You're right, I completely forgot. XP So then, what was her reason for running to the car? Maybe she had a brain fart? I mean, everyone makes mistakes, even in moments of panic.

  And of course she's had bad-ass moments after season one. I remember you remarking on her use of the crossbow. Again it's hard to remember.

• i disagree with not hating elena.. so much things this episode pointed out to me why this character makes my brain numb.. alaric an "original" vampire calls u to rescue your friend and you go? without talkin to ppl who can help?.. is she not a human/doppleganger? what can she do? how was she planning to save caroline? did she even try caroline's cell to see um i don't know if it was true? see if the big bad would do someting as evil as lie?? also having another big bad tied to her is boring repetitive and i am over it.. so that turned up my anger levels on her..next step telling the brothers some dumb crap.. it translated " if i chose u to sleep with the other "MIGHT'' stop pining for me so i cant do that"..

  look the triangle is boring bcs there is no friction.. stefAN IS ALL like its cool bro if u bang my love of my life even tho u forced yourself in our relationship making it a triangle and causing yourself pain..and damon's like i love dopplegangers who reject me lets see who she chooses and elena's like yaay men fighting over me and giving my selfish ass attention..

  the blood transfusion between Bonnie and damon would have gone a much longer way than that stupid product placement..

  what did evilaric do? NOTHING! he didn't kill caroline,elena,klAUS,rebekah,damon,stefan and he is a VAMPIRE HUNTER 'THE ULTIMATE VAMPIRE HUNTER' that was ridiculous to me..i get the stars cant die.. but come on don't put them in situations where it is an absolute must or makes sense that they would be dead.. why didn't alaric just kill caroline and take her ring and put it on his pinky finger and go to klaus' mansion and murder him there..

  they need to follow up on Beremy and kill the bamie sh*t cuz i don't care.. 5% does or even less.. they have no chemistry.. where was he ? did he drive home? whats his last name? does he go to school?work?age? u see what i am talking about they took no time to develop this boy/man.. yawn

• I agree with everything you've said. They need to step up the writing and work on developing characters and their relationships, not love triangles that are unnecessary.

  It'd be one thing if Elena just went out and said she wanted a poly-amorous relationship but this is just bullshit.

• Diana has more houses than Melissa and Bonnie together.

• Melissa has a house. A nice one... Haha. The reviewers don't remember it or I'm remembering wrong.

• I agree, Blackwell is totally working with the witch hunters. :D Or actually, I think maybe Eben is just his puppet and he's been using the Circle just to get the crystal skull thingy or something.
