And TV’s best whisper-talker is…

After weeks and weeks of voting, we’re proud to finally crown a winner in our first-ever tournament here on NoWhiteNoise. Television’s best whisper-talker is… Gossip Girl’s Chuck Bass!

Chuck Bass battled in four different rounds, easily defeating his opponents in three of them. His first, against Emily Thorne, was a landslide. His second, against Tina Belcher, got close towards the end, but he was the projected victor from the beginning. It was only against Person of Interest’s John Reese where things got a bit rocky; Chuck was losing but became a sleeper hit. In his final round, however, which was hidden from the public, there was no doubt about it: he won in a landslide victory against The Vampire Diaries‘s Klaus (whose track record was a landslide win after landslide win, as well) — quite unprecedented, as I was expecting another extremely tight race.

With 80,500 votes, Chuck Bass claimed victorious in our final whisper-talkers round at more than 81% against Klaus’s 18% (18,100 votes). You can look at a screengrab here.

Congratulations to Chuck Bass for being crowned as television’s best whisper-talker! And thank you to all of our voters who participated in this dire tournament. Until we crown another useless television label!
