NBC renews Hannibal for season 2

Just had to share the deliciously good news that NBC has done the weird and right thing: it has renewed Hannibal for a second season. Hannibal premiered at modest ratings, and has since seen lower ratings, but is one of the network’s most critically-acclaimed series currently on the air. There were talks that cable networks were interested in picking it up if NBC had decided to pass.

The second season will consist of 13 episodes.

So glad to hear this news! We reviewed the pilot recently, but I plan to do a season review, proper, once the finale airs.
