America’s Next Top Model recap: A green photo shoot

After last week’s panel, the contestants are still sorting through their various emotions, specifically Marvin, who is outside having a good cry when Tyra shows up to comfort him.  After she gets him to stop sobbing, she has a little check in with the contestants so they can all tell her how amazing she has been to them. Tyra always needs that ego boost at least once a cycle.

They also talk about Chris’s inability to make friends and his crappy treatment of Nina, but am I the only one sick of rehashing this plotline AGAIN?  Can Chris just go home already so we can be done with it? No one likes him, he is the worst. We get it already!

The episode this week starts with a photo shoot instead of challenge (because surprise! There is no challenge) and in the shoot the models are wearing green clothes from two local designers, one of whom is only 11, which is just insane.  Corey is in his element in this shoot, but Chris is Mister Whiny the entire time and Johnny is just over it.  It is really time for him to go.

After the shoot, instead of going home the models are sent to Ubud for some spiritual healing and down time.  Everyone is having a good time and enjoying the new location, except Chris who is still being a negative Nancy.  As my boo Corey says, Chris just needs to appreciate all the spoils Tyra is bestowing on them instead of find the problem with every little thing. The next day the models go on a little Elephant ride.  Chris gets stuck riding alone and Marvin and Renee ride together and indulge in a little PDA, which is just too adorable for words.  I’m shipping Marnee, are you?

This week 2 people are getting eliminated instead of the usual one, so the stakes are higher than ever.  Marvin and Jordyn knock it out of the park with Jordyn getting the best photo while Nina, Jeremy, and Chris are left in the bottom.  Chris is the one who makes it out alive, unfortunately, so we will have to deal with him another week.  And it looks like the drama with him is just going to continue, so HOPEFULLY next week will finally be the week.  We can dream.

  • I would like Marnee if Marvin wasn't such a jerk, he does the same thing Chris does yet I guess gets a pass cause he young and never punched the others in the junk (I said this after hearing how alot contestants try to explain away Marvin acting like a petty jerk and whiny behavior). None these guys except Jeremy and Corey have a great personalities. Marvin and Chris imo are the worst followed by Phil. I can only give Chris's props for not being two faced to Nina though like Marvin is towards Renee (like he gets nasty to her because he effed up like last week I didn't like how he was towards her yet no one said anything).
