The Brits are currently ahead 4 girls to 3, and this week it is time for go-sees (kind of)! Alisha is still reeling from her fall from best picture to the bottom two. She, like all the girls, is here to win it, but will she be able to get back on top? Or will she be sent home this week?
Martin is back via video before the challenge to remind the girls about first impressions, since they will be going on a casting for the challenge. When the girls get to the challenge, Kelly is there (yes!) and tells the girls they have the chance to open a fashion show at a fashion competition. So, it’s not really go-sees. They girls are just walking for different designers in the hope of getting booked to walk first for their shows. What a disappointment. I LOVE go-sees.
Anyway, at the castings, Sophie is hamming up to the designers and Alisha is not feeling it. “This isn’t acting class,” she says, “Act like yourself.” Okay, Alisha, see how many jobs that gets you, with your cheery personality.
While the girls are walking, Kelly is not impressed. She says she doesn’t think they have a ‘slasher’ or someone who comes out and goes ‘bam!’ Apparently, there is no ‘bam!’ I know Kelly can be tough, but she is kind of right. None of these girls really own the runway like they should. Kelly’s criticisms of the girls are tough and Seymone in particular takes offense to what she says. Apparently this has been an issue for her, since all the girls complain that she is a bit of a diva, so why has it never been a plot point until now?
Alisha and Annaliese each get to open up a show and Sophie gets to open two, so they are still in the running to win this challenge, while the other girls just get to walk in the shows. For this challenge, whichever designer wins the competition, the girl who opened their show is deemed the winner. The winner ends up being the designers of the line that Alisha opened for and she is pumped. I guess she is returning to top form after all.
At the photo shoot, the girls find out they are going to be modeling couture designs created completely out of Hello Kitty products and their photographer is only 16 years old, which makes Jay feel old. Seymone’s attitude once again is an issue during her shoot. It is crazy how this is all of a sudden such a big deal even though it has never been brought up before. Sigh, editing.
At the judging, surprisingly Seymone doesn’t get an awful review and her attitude isn’t even mentioned, at least not to her face. Did I mention how much I love the judges being all bitchy behind the girls’ backs this season? Because I do. I think it is great. If this is Kelly’s doing, than I love her even more than I did before.
It is no surprise that Alisha ends up getting best photo. The judges loved her picture this week. So she really is back on top. Good for her. In a surprising twist, the back and forth pattern is broken and for the second week in a row, two Americans are in the bottom two. It is Seymone, because of her attitude (of course) and Eboni, because she still isn’t listening to the judges branding advice. In the end, Eboni is safe and Seymone is sent home, which is no surprise given how much attention was given to her this week.
Next week the girls find out they are going to Asia and they have to take a photo with silk worms! Who will freak out? Who won’t get to make the trip? Will yet another American be sent home? I guess we shall see next week!
