Here’s the delayed Fox comedy pilots list!

Am I not the worst? I know I’m the worst! But I haven’t seen the new Secret Circle (Actually the two last episodes) and Game Of Thrones yet, so does that make up for my tardiness?

After the success of New Girl, it’s no wonder that Fox 11 new comedy pilots are all single-camera comedies. But I don’t really know if we need that many new comedy’s on Fox. Rather two or three very hilarious ones than 6 really crappy ones. So here they are (at last!).

  • Ben Fox Is My Manny: First of all, what the hell is a manny? Who comes up with these things! Anyway Ben Fox is obviously a man, but he’s also a ‘nanny’. Under the guise of being his niece’s nanny, he moves in with his uptight older sister and her daughter. He is also a free spirited young guy. Ben Fox will be played by Nat Faxon, Abby Elliot and Dakota Johnson will also star.
  • El Jefe: A guy gets tossed out of his fancy home and has to move in with his lifelong latin nanny. There, he goes head to head with her strong-willed son, and finds himself in an environment different from the one he grew up in. Ryan Hansen will play Josh, the guy who got tossed out. It’s a very simple premise and has been done many times before. But look at New Girl, and how well that turned out. The Cast also features Victor Rasuk, Mercedes Ruehl, Ana Nogueira and Will Greenberg.
  • The Goodwin Games: A father will leave his fortune to his three children, but only if they agree to his terms. Also very simple, but potentially hilarious. Cast features  Scott Foley, Becki Newton, Jake Lacy and Melissa Tang.
  • Let It Go: An ensemble comedy about a father who has strong beliefs and will go to any length to prove his point to his family and friends. Zachary Levi will play Ben, the father. His castmates are Kat Foster,  Joel David Moore and Camille Gauty.
  • Like Father: Comedy centering around a father-son relationship inspired by writer Bill Lawrence’s real experiences. This one features Colin Ferguson and Robbie Amell.
  • Little Brother: Who wants John Stamos back? I do, I do! Fortunately, John Stamos wants to come back too! Stamos finds out he has a half-brother who happens to be an ex-con! The little brother will be played by T.J. Miller.
  • Living Loaded: Based on a book by Dan Dunn, Mike Vogel plays a partying blogger who is forced to change his partying ways when he becomes a radio host. Donald Sutherland has also been cast. I cannot express my feelings enough about this guy; I love him so much.
  • Must Hire: An uptight executive hires his father for a job and is shocked to see that his father is a disruptive office clown. Not much about the cast is known.
  • Prodigy Bully: Written by Mike O’Malley (Glee), and based on the Prodigy Bully one-minute movies by Hank Perlman. This comedy centers around a young boy who uses his brains to get what he wants. O’Malley doesn’t only write this pilot, but will also star as the father of the boy. Missi Pyle (The Artist!) will also star in this pilot.
  • Rebounding: A comedy about a man who has to recover the death of his fiancé with the help of the idiots on his basketball team. This cast features Will Forte, Malcolm Barrett, Hayes McArthur and Matt Jones.
  • Untitled Mindy Kaling Project: Kaling stars as a Bridjet Jones-like doctor who balances work and personal life, surrounded by quirky co-workers. Anna Camp and Chris Messina also star

It won’t be that long before they announce which pilot will get a picked up and which won’t. Luckily for you, screenings of most pilots have begun. So which ones did Fox prefer?

The Untiled Mindy Kaling Project is likely to be the New Girl– companion. Ben Fox Is My Manny and Little Brother are both looking good,  The Goodwin Games and Prodigy Bully are both OK, Rebounding and El Jefe are in serious contention.  Don’t count on a pickup for all the rest.

Aside of their 11 Comedy pilots, they also ordered a new animated comedy and it sounds hilarious.

  • Working Class Hero: An animated comedy by the hands of Mike Barker (American Dad!), set in a world where superheroing is just another low-paid government job and centers around a dad whose powers are no match for his co-workers and his demanding family. I really wants this to get a pick-up!

Is it normal to be more exited for a new animated series than for any of these comedies? I hope so…

  • If Becki Newton is down in a comedy pilot does this means she not going to be on HIMYM next season?

    • Don't know really, it depends on their filming shedules and if it gets a pick-up. Because nothing is written in stone just yet.
