Hello, liars. First of all, sorry for telling you guys we would know who A is by episode 8. A friend told me that, saying she’s see it somewhere and I believed her because usually she knows as many spoilers as I can count. And I’ve always known my recaps were big but I couldn’t change that but after seeing many PLL recaps separating the events of the episode by each girl, I’ve decided to try to do it that way. Then you can tell me if you prefer like that or the old way.

 Spencer

Poor Spencer. The episode started with her and Aria talking about how she lost the early admissions deadline for UPenn but Cece shows up and invites them to a party where a guy who works with admissions there will be and they accept. Then she and Hanna talk about the A text Hanna got and how Emily’s so happy with Paige and they didn’t tell her about the website because of it. Later, Spencer and Aria choose Spencer’s clothes for the party and they talk about Cece and Ezra’s family. Then the girls go to the party and it turns out that it’s Eric Kahn’s – Noel Kahn’s brother – party. I like that we finally got to see Eric. I’ve read the books and it’s good to see that at least one thing will be the same in both.  Also, the stamp in Holden’s wrist is from the Kahn’s party! Spencer plays truth round of truth or dare with Jenna and it’s like the room is about to explode with tension as Jenna knows some of her secrets and vice versa. The only thing we discovered is that Jenna wants the video and that she picked up Emily at a dinner and not on the road but then time was up. She asks Cece to leave and for her application but Cece says that she gave it to Steven, the UPenn guy. At the end of the episode, she called Toby and left him a message saying that she misses him. Then she finds out she was accepted into UPenn.

Aria

After talking to Spencer at the grill about UPenn, Aria leaves for Ezra’s place, where she hears him yelling with someone. Then, a guy storms out of the apartment and Ezra tells her it’s his brother, Wesley. She and Ezra talk about his mother, how she offered Aria money to break up with him and about why was Wesley there – he has to buy the car he sold back. Because of that, he goes out on a meeting with the guy who owns the car now. At the party, Aria has a truth round of truth or dare with Noel Kahn – before Spencer’s – and she only asks about Maya and Noel only asks about her relationship with Ezra. After the game – that totally got to her by the way – she gets out saying she wants to leave and Spencer follows to make her stay but Cece leads Spencer back to the party to play with Jenna. Aria calls Ezra but Wes answers, saying that Ezra’s not home. She asks him to give the message but Wes goes to pick her up himself and accidentally tells her about Maggie, a girl Ezra got pregnant in high school. At this point, I realized I like Wes, he seems like a nice guy. Aria goes to Ezra’s place again and this time he’s there. They argue about their relationship and Ezra tells her what happened to Maggie. Turns out his mom gave her money to raise the child if she never talked to Ezra again and that’s when he went to Hollis and changed his last name. Ezra then asks her to enter and she goes in with him.

Hanna

I must say that I was surprise and disappointed with Hanna when she kissed Wren last week. I feel like that’s gonna hurt my Haleb heart. But there were so much Haleb this week that I won’t think about it and enjoy the Halebness of PLL while it lasts. Hanna’s “role” in the episode actually started with her mom and things that happened with Ashley will be spoken of here. Anyway, Ashley was warned that Hanna has five days to give the police her blood sample but she doesn’t tell her yet. At school, Hanna meets Caleb and they have an awkward conversation about Maya’s site’s new password and his mom but then they have to go to class. Then she gets an A message telling her to go to the grill or Caleb will pay. She tells Spencer and promises to her that she won’t go. Obviously, she goes there but that’s later in the episode so. Emily asks about what is she hiding from her and Hanna tells her about the website and gives her the password. Getting out of the Hastings’ law office, Ashley meets Ted and they talk about drinking coffee sometime. At home, Hanna is ready to go out but Ashley is cooking dinner and she tells Hanna about the court order. Then she goes to the grill to meet A but Caleb appears, saying that he texted her to see if she was getting new A messages. They argue about A and Hanna tells Caleb that it was A who threw his mom out of the road. Then he says he will help her even without her permission and they kiss. I missed those two. Meanwhile, Ashley is having a nice, romantic dinner with Ted when she gets a call from Wilden. Well, after that call her night turns into calling Veronica to work the court order out and Ted ends up doing the dishes. When he is about to leave, they talk and then they kiss. Go, Ashley. You deserve it, being the most awesome mom on the show.

Emily

Emily’s first apparition on the episode was with Paige and they looked really happy. I don’t really care about Paige and I prefer Emily with Maya but since Maya is dead, I really just want Emily to be happy. She says hi to Hanna and Spencer and then goes off with Paige again. After school, she asks Hanna to tell her what she’s hiding from her and is very upset when she discovers it’s about Maya’s website. Hanna gives her the password and she enters it at home. She watches the videos, including the one where Maya talks about her, gets very emotional and cries a lot while watching them. Paige arrives while she was watching one of them and Emily tells her what was going on. Then Paige tells her about her grandfather who died when she was fifteen and how spooky but also good it was to listen to his laughter in a home-made video her mom found last spring. Paige hugs her and Emily says that she just wishes it would stop hurting.

As usual, the episode ended with A doing something sketchy. She purchased a storage locker and we’ll have to wait and see what she’ll put into it. And that was it, liars. I’ve managed to keep the recap not too long. Next stop is trying to be funny. Let’s hope for more Wes and Haleb! Well, at least I’m hoping for more Wes. Next episode looks awesome by its promo, right? See you next time!
