I’ve seen a lot of movement about this on the social networks and especially on shipping comments on YouTube, so I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who can’t stop thinking about ‘The Other Blackwell Child’ whenever the show is on.

We’ve been carefully given a good amount of reasons why each member of the circle could or couldn’t be the Cassie’s sibling.

The following is a mere listing of the facts to considerate while speculating.

Faye Chamberlain: The Obvious Choice

Chance Harbor’s resident bad girl with some unresolved and unexplored mommy issues, is the first one who comes to mind when one thinks who could also be a descendant of the Devil himself. Her attitude, craving for power, aggressive tendencies towards the dark ways and the fact that we know nothing about her father, make her a likely candidate to be Cassie’s sister.

This week’s episode showed us an evil, psycho Eva who apparently wasn’t always like that, at least not before being in possession of half of Faye’s magic. Eva wasn’t bound to the circle’s rules of collective magic somehow, and, in fact, she looked way more powerful than Faye in her good ol’ days. I swear I never saw her fast-age a man to his death.

If Eva’s power was Faye’s, how come she was able to beat Faye’s own magic — who almost crapped her pants? How come Faye didn’t seem nor look weaker? And the last time I checked, the only powers that could work free from the circle’s bond was DARK MAGIC!

But maybe she IS a TOO obvious choice after all…

Jake Armstrong: the creepy guess

Wouldn’t it be incredibly twisted if Jake was Cassie’s brother? Maybe The CW is willing to take risks with a ‘Flowers in the Attic’ move?

Character-wise it’d explain the irrationally strong feelings Jake developed for Cass in such a short period of time and his instinct to protect ‘Little Miss Bad Girl’.

Also the short introduction of his parents was too over the surface; I can’t tell if his mother would cheat on his father.

Diana Meade: Daddy’s little girl ain’t a girl no more

We can see glimpses of darkness in her every now and then, but, unlike Faye and Cassie, in subtle ways such as: cold, blank stares, fake smiles, dying-puppy eyes and a desperate need of attention and control over everything, plus the look on her face when she threaten Faye back in the pilot, when she used to wear slightly nerd-ier clothes.

Though we all know now that she has sexy brassieres with lace and everything underneath that nerd-ish exterior.

Anyway, she could have inherited her ‘darkness’ from her father, though the brains must be her mother’s cause Charlie’s not the best villain there is, is he?

Adam Conant: ‘My dad’s not a traitor’

The fact this possibility hasn’t been implied yet is suspicious enough.

And, of course, it’d be even creepier than ‘Cake’ as he already got down to business with Dark Magic Jr.

It’s pretty clear Ethan didn’t love Adam’s mother, since he was hopelessly devoted to Amelia, so what if Mrs Conant didn’t love him either, what if she developed feelings for Dark Magic, father?

Melissa Glaser: who needs a storyline?

Because she hasn’t been too relevant since Nick’s death, they could have been saving this storyline for her! And let’s remember that when that demon-snake crawled on the bed she shared with Nick, it chose HER, even when Nick was closer. You know what they say: dark magic attracts more dark magic!

After a moment she shared with John in this week’s episode, she seems to me the most likely candidate, I felt like the writers were trying to say something. The look on Blackwell’s face when he talked about Melissa’s mother… that seemed to me like TRUE LOVE. And when he compliments her… he sounded kind of… PROUD?

Nick Armstrong: R.I.P.

We all know he’s coming back and who knows why, how, or WHO is bringing him back, I have a couple of theories and because he’s Jake’s brother he’s just as likely to be a Blackwell.

Let’s make our guesses, no matter what, I think we’re all gonna be surprised. There’s just one thing that’s clear, Blackwell was quite a success with women back in the day!
