I will be honest: at first, Up All Night wasn’t one of the shows that I was dying to see every week, so I took a break from it for a while. But I recently just sat down and caught up on all the episodes in one sitting and realized I actually love the show. Then I noticed something. I never hear anyone talk about this show. So I started to do some research and came up with a list on why you should give Up All Night a try.

1. The Cast

I love Will Arnett. He was one of the reasons I watched the show to begin with. You also can’t go wrong with Christina Applegate and Maya Rudolph. The main thing I love about all of them is the chemistry. They really work well off each other.

2. The Writing

The show has unique, quirky story lines every episode, so it never gets boring. You also quickly catch on to the character habits and they really like to play off of it. There is also a continuing theme about trying to stay cool while also being good parents.

3. Time Slot

Up All Night is now on Thursdays, part of the 2 hour comedy block on NBC. You are most likely already watching Community, Parks and Rec, and/or The Office. So why not stick around an extra half hour and give it a try?

4. Ratings

I never see or hear anything about the show, so I was surprised to see that the ratings weren’t that bad. They are usually around 3 million views every week. The show is also expected to get renewed for another season!

5. Differently Funny

The series follows Reagan (Christina Applegate), a producer on her best friend Ava’s (Maya Rudolph) talk show, and Chris (Will Arnett), Reagan’s supportive, stay-at-home husband, as they try to adjust to life with their newborn baby Amy.
