It’s a metaphor. Get it?

Hey, do you remember how you used to load up NoWhiteNoise? By going to the website and then leaving your house for 8 hours so that it can be up by the time you get home? Yeah, that’s no longer going to be a thing! (Or at least we hope.) That’s because over the weekend, and some of Monday, we finally switched to a new server and host provider.

It was a grueling process. There was screaming. There was hugging. There were tears. But it finally happened and we’re finally here. But even though the beginning was a bit frustrating with the new server peeps, I wouldn’t go back.

vehemently do NOT recommend GoDaddy. Ever ever ever.

They should use that quote to advertise themselves because they are the worst. (Y’know, besides being in support of the SOPA and PIPA bills.) Seriously, last week I had to wait about three or four days to actually post a recap because the site was either unbelievably slow or just down entirely. That’s just not acceptable. So we up and left and said, “We could do better!

Anyway, the switching meant that we couldn’t actually update the site since everything would just be lost anyway. We apologize for that. But posts should resume to their normal levels of frequency. And, believe me guys, I can actually write posts without growing a beard in the meantime waiting for everything to load now. It’s a breath of fresh air. I’m more excited to write than ever!

Thank you for bearing with us. We love you!
