Wasn’t this week sad? I felt like I was watching a romantic movie without the happy ending. Sure enough, like I somewhat predicted last week, Charlie was the one to get the next exit! He’s just such a great performer and his last chance performance was definitely Glee worthy. But at this point, they’re all great performers. Just not all great actors/actresses!

Fearlessness week y’all! This was a funny week. Not only with the performances, but also with the guest star, which was Jane Lynch!! Oh, I really love Jane Lynch. I loved her in Party Down, and for me, she is still one of the best parts of Glee! But like she said, she has much more experience than all of these kids.

For their homework assignment they had to do a rap song to show off their fearlessness skills, and it was hilarious. But oh god, that song was utter crap. I don’t even know why Glee keeps on pushing those horrendous rap songs down our throats. Everybody hates them and none of the cast members can rap properly. And none of these contestants are the next rapprodigy, so please Ryan stop with all the rapping! Anyway I loved how they brought it, although Jane could have picked another winner. Lilly didn’t stand out for me at all, but that’s because she never stands out. Ever!

Again, they didn’t have to do their choreography sessions. It was all improv in the moment, which was all about a highschool swimming club throwing slushies at each other. The funny bit was that they accused Charlie of not being in the “story,” when there wasn’t really a story to begin with!

Michael was struggling in the recording booth, like he did several episodes back. He’s an over thinker; that’s not necessarily a problem if you can pull it off. And I think that’s why he missed the bottom three this time, because in the end Michael can pull it off and they know it. Every week it’s the same in that recording booth, Charlie being unprofessional. Same old, same old! I know they’ve to keep showing this for good television, but I’d like to see some other contestants in that booth or just more in general. Blake, Abraham, or Shanna for instance; I feel like we don’t even know them as well as the other contestants and that’s a shame.

The music video went smoothly until Ali decided to be a little more fearless! She was the only one not being slushied because of her disability. The other could pull away and stand up, but Ali wasn’t able to do that. At first, everything went great! She was having fun and got slushied over and over again. Everything got bad when she couldn’t breathe anymore, but after a minute she shrugged it off and went into the pool and everything was fine! It was a really brave move for her, and it was nice for her to get the recognition!

When it was time for evaluation, Charlie and Aylin managed to reconcile after first deciding to remain friends. It was obvious something was up with elimination, otherwise this storyline wouldn’t be as largely incorporated in the whole episode. Anyway, turns out both Aylin and Charlie were up for an exit, along with the insecure Nellie. Nellie gave us a very emotional rendition of Beyoncé’s “If I Were A Boy.” It was absolutely incredible. Aylin gave us a so-so performance, and like Ryan said she lacked “vulnerability” in her song. Lastly, Charlie came back again for the third time! Again, his performance of “It’s Not Unusual” was amazing and funny.

It only shows that Charlie knows how to perform, and that he is Glee worthy. It’s just a shame that he couldn’t be professional when they expected him to be! I really hope Charlie grows up and somehow makes it into show business. I’m waiting for you, Charlie. Don’t disappoint me.

After they found out Charlie was the one. Everyone got all teary and began to cry, but hey those people cry every time someone leaves. This time it just was more emotional than ever, Aylin and Charlie got separated you guys. Charlie was super supportive and encouraged her to give only her best in this competition. To top his list of original performances, Charlie gave his own rendition of “Keep Moving On.” God, I hate that song!

This week was so good, and next week looks promising with ‘Theatricality’ as their theme! Bring it on!
