And then there were only six! We’re almost there and after several weeks of sending the good guys home, Ryan is still capable of keeping the unrootable contestant in the competition. Lilly has been the worst contestant for four times now, ugh just send her home already. Unfortunately that meant another exit for a charismatic individual, this time Abraham.

One can argue why Abraham was send home in the first place, was it really partially Lilly’s fault or can we blame Abraham’s weird behaviour at the end of the episode? I don’t know if anyone remembers Abraham’s statement at the beginning of the season, where he said that tenacity was one of his personality traits. Well as it turns out, tenacity isn’t one of Abraham’s strong suits.

The contestants had to impress Glee‘s star Amber Riley with their own version of “Survivor”. As always, their assignment was done properly but it wasn’t that impressive this time. Ali is on a winning streak by scoring the win this week, and she didn’t stop there! That girl really wants to win, and if I weren’t semi-annoyed by her voice, I would totally root for her!

As always, Michael struggled again in the recording booth. I like Michael, but it’s the only remark he gets every time he has to perform in the bottom. Wouldn’t anyone change their tactics or approach by then? One thing I want to point out though is the comments from every mentor! When you see a contestant struggling, isn’t it your job to make them feel better and not comparing them to a better boy who happens to be a good friend? Sure Blake is a better contestant, but it was so harsh to say it right in his face. It’s good to be honest in a talent competition, but it wasn’t that relevant for Michael’s issues with the recording booth. So it wasn’t necessary, at all.

Anyway, let’s return to the exiting part of the episode. The video shoot! Not many directors or teams have done these kind of videos and succeed in the process. While they didn’t succeed, it was really entertaining. Every time Lilly, Aylin, Michael, or Abraham screwed up, Blake had to do the most physically exhausting exercises over and over again. If only they would do these kind of things on The Biggest Loser! One can only dream, right? Because Ali won the assignment, she had to end the song with throwing a basketball through a hoop without looking at the hoop. This was a recipe for disaster; I know I wouldn’t be able to do this, even with looking at that hoop! After around 30 takes, the finished without actually succeeding the one-shot video. It wasn’t really emphasized in the episode, but you can see some parts shot elsewhere thus revealing their failure!

Shanna completed her perfect record on the show, along with Blake and Ali. While the rest of them were up for last-chance performances. In the end the mentors had to choose between Aylin and Lilly, but Aylin was saved…much to Lilly’s dismay. And to make things worse, Lilly dissed Aylin in front of Ryan and the rest of the mentors. Complaining about a comment she made in the recording booth, which was 100 % deserved! She impressed the mentors with her song and was sure of a callback.

We all knew by then, that one of the boys was going home! Neither of them really impressed me with their songs, they were so bland. After Lilly’s performance, Abraham stormed back and began to demand a spot on Glee. I was shocked, they were shocked, everybody was shocked! I’m sure his tirade had some effect on his elimination, and it was a really stupid thing to do. I wasn’t very sad when they revealed Abraham as the next one to go, I was more annoyed that Lilly went through! Make no mistake, I’m going to mis Abraham. He was very charismatic, but maybe too dramatic for his own good.

The end is near, you guys! Only two episodes left for the big finale, and it’s about time to make my guess who will win this thing. My bet is on Shanna or Blake, both of them have a perfect track record. Shanna is really relatable, Blake is such a great actor and singer! Unfortunately I think Michael is the next one to get the boot when things are about to get very romantic with “We Found Love” in romanticality. Check it out!

So who do think will win the competition?
