It’s the inevitable time of year again where we say goodbye and welcome the new. This is also the first year that NWN saw come and go completely, so congratulations to it for surviving this long. In just a few hours, we’ll all be saying hello to 2013 — personally, I’ll be home (which is the first time that will happen by choice) as we host a new year’s even party with a ton of family that has come down for Christmastime. I hope you all have plans that surround yourself with loved ones.

2012 was a good year for us, though I won’t go in all the detail about how NWN was started. (You can read that in last year’s thank you.) But it was also the year we said goodbye to Gossip Girl, so I’d firstly like to thank everyone that came in week after week and read the recaps, or shared them, or commented on them. Thank you. I’d like to thank all those people that follow the Tumblr and interact with me on there, as well. Thanks guys, your comments here and messages there make my day every. single. day. Speaking of photo recaps, I’d once again like to thank TV.com’s Price for inspiring me, even though he doesn’t read this blog and doesn’t know me (and most likely does not care). But thank you, bud!

This was the first year that I was able to get sillyish “press passes” for the press sites, which was able to let me screen a few ABC episodes. I even got to be in a conference call with the supporting actors on Scandal earlier this year. Thanks for that! This year, I also got my very first official screeners, for Dallas. Thank you to Jhanell for contacting me about that. It was actually the only goal I had in mind when I set this blog up and it came true. I’ve yet to make another.

Speaking of contacting, this year, a lot of people actually emailed me just to say nice things which I didn’t think was even something people would do. Thank you to everyone who sent me a message, nice or otherwise. You seriously don’t know what that means to me (which is to say, a lot). One person was even surprised that I replied. Of course I reply, I’m a nobody!

Thanks to Nick Walsh, who contacted me and made my summer with the Buffy Rewatch. If it weren’t for him, I never would have met an influx of people that made up a new community and visitors at NWN. Also, thanks to him, we trended #BuffyRewatch worldwide! Thanks, Nick! Also, thanks to everyone that came and read the Buffy recaps/reviews every week (and who still tweet me about my thoughts). And also, thank you to everyone that live-tweeted with us and those who continue to do so currently!

And of course, thanks to the NWN staff writers. I don’t say it enough, but I love you all. You all put in so much work just to voice your opinion or have fun and I can’t thank you enough for your input, hard work, and dedication. We all have lives and sometimes there’s no time to put in some li’l blog, but you guys find time. I thank you for that. Thank you to Heba for being my right hand woman and a friend from the other side of the globe. Thank you! I love you all so much!

2012 was fun, there’s no doubt. And I’m still in awe that this machine is still running. So, thank you to everyone who visits every day and has become a part of our community. Much love, always, from all of us at NWN to you. I don’t know what the future holds for us, though I have ideas in my cranium, but one can never be too sure. So I’ll end on a more ambiguous note: here’s for an amazing 2013! We couldn’t have done 2012 without you.
