I didn’t think that I wanted the Veronica Mars Movie as badly as I do now after having watched the teaser trailer. This is reportedly the video the panel showed at Comic-Con yesterday. It’s about five minutes long, full of some classic Veronica Mars moments and behind-the-scenes interviews. But then the final one minute and 30 seconds comes and it’s a teaser trailer. And is that … JAMIE LEE CURTIS!?
Yup, even Jamie Lee Curtis is in this movie, y’all. She plays Veronica’s boss.
Veronica Mars was the second show I watched that truly solidified how much I love television. When it ended, I was sort of lost. I didn’t know where to go in TV world and what to watch. (I eventually found Chuck.) And now that the trailer is here, it’s making me extremely impatient for 2014. Just look at its fancy film-like stylization! That beginning part is definitely Side Effects inspired, like Rob Thomas said he’d want to.
Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately, since I don’t want to be spoiled), we don’t get much that we didn’t know about here. Veronica has another job; she comes back to Neptune to help Logan; there’s a fight at the high school reunion.
But here’s two tidbits of awesome intel: There’s a Buffy the Vampire Slayer reference and Veronica finally gets to punch Madison out!
Sorry, but I’m going to continue freaking out over here.
