Finale Part 1: The Finalists Shoot Their Guess CampaignGuys, it’s here. The first part of the America’s Next Top Model season finale.  That’s right, this show still gets a 2-hour, 2-part season finale.  No, I don’t know why.  Just go with it.

If you remember, last week the competition was narrowed down to our final three: Jordyn, Marvin, and Corey.  It’s interesting because these finalists each represent a different type: the female model, the traditional male model, and the androgynous male model.  Tyra sure knows what she’s doing, doesn’t she?

The finale starts with the finalists doing a shoot for Guess, which is one of the company’s the winner will get to work with after the show.  Before they start, Johnny tells them that they have brought back the previous contestants who are going to be around for the rest of the competition to cheer on their chosen favorite.  Pretty much all the girls pick Corey because he is amazing, and most of the boys pick Marvin because bros, obviously.  Poor Jordyn is left all by her lonesome until the last person comes out.  I would almost feel sorry for her if I hadn’t watched all season and seen how much of the worst she has been throughout the competition.  But Chris is the last one out and he picks to be on Jordyn’s team, so at least she has him, even if he is the only person on the show who was more hated than her.

Corey’s crew is a bit rambunctious during his shoot, but he still does well.  Marvin struggles throughout, but seems to do okay in the end.  Jordyn also doesn’t really push through as much as I’m sure the photographer was hoping.  Maybe if she had more support she would have done better.  Karma?

After a night chatting with family members, the finalists spend the next day taking photos for Nylon magazine, another company the winner will work with.  Marvin and Jordyn are kind of focusing on each other as the top competition, but meanwhile Corey is just rocking it out and putting on his best masculine face.  He definitely isn’t out of the running yet.

On the third day the finalists film a ‘fashion feature’ short film that will feature their fan clubs as extras and judge Rob and Laura (last cycle’s winner) acting as supporting characters.  In the film, Corey plays Jordyn’s abusive boyfriend (really Tyra? Like Jordyn needed another reason to bring up her past) and Marvin plays her new, nice lover and she has to chose between the two.  Corey has to kiss all over Jordyn and by the way he physically jumps away from her when the director yells ‘cut’, he is definitely NOT into it.  And Marvin is just counting his lucky stars that he doesn’t have to make out with her.  Their hatred clearly runs deep.

Finally after all of these shoots, the episode ends with a runway show.  But before the show, Johnny tells the fan club members that they will win $1000 if they are on the team for the winning model and right now is their chance to switch if they want to.  Mike is the only one who switches and he goes from Corey’s team to Jordyn because she is a ‘real model’. Uh, Mike, you were an ice cream man who Tyra thought was cute.  I get it, Jordyn seems like the front runner, but let’s not play at you being some sort of fashion expert.

Right before the runway show is about to start, Tyra drops in to tell them that only 2 contestants will be walking in the show.  The rest of the judges stroll in like some mob bosses and an elimination is about to go down right there back stage based on their Guess photo.  Unfortunately we have to wait until next week to find out who is out of the competition, although it looks like Tyra lied and all three still get to walk in the show.  Either way, next week is the conclusion of the finale so y’all better get ready! You know who I am rooting for!!
